... From sailing and kayaking to ice fishing, are available along the 25 miles of Lake Dillon shoreline. Mountain scenery surrounding the lake encompasses Arapaho and White River national forests with access to alpine lakes for trout fishing. Hiking, horseback riding, hunting & bird watching are other popular activities. Located atop the Continental Divide at an altitude of 8,815', Lake Dillon affords easy access to nearby skiing at Keystone, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain ski areas. Some ski trails open as early as mid-October.

Access:
Interstate Highway 70 (I-70) provides easy access, just north of Lake Dillon. Just east of Dillon, the highway engineering feat known as the Eisenhower Tunnel runs more than 1-1/2 miles through Mount Trelease, permitting bypass of US 6 and the 11,992-foot Loveland Pass, which can be hazardous in winter.
